A method of adjusting the temperature coefficient and resistance of low-valued resistance standards
F. Wenner, J.L. Thomas · Bureau of Standards Journal of Research · 1934
It is shown (1) that the temperature coefficient of low-valued resistance standards, which are of the 4-terminal type, may be either larger or smaller than the temperature coefficient of the resistance material used in their con- struction;(2) that in many cases it is possible to adjust the temperature coefficient to a practically zero value at a selected temperature; and (3) that the resistance may be decreased without the addition of a shunt, and without disturbing brazed connections between the resistance material and the copper terminals.
