In Brief Compared with generic hearing aid fitting prescriptions, much less information is available about proprietary algorithms developed by manufacturers for their hearing aids. After studying several widely used proprietary prescriptions, the authors report on how they differ from or are similar to each other and to the leading generic procedures.
