Living with this knowledge a few months in advance of its becoming reality might soften the blow and facilitate a less painful user adjustment. On the other hand, an accommodation to the user might be the result, so that both needs (automation and paper files) might be supported in the MIS design. Failure to try to support the user will likely result in failure of the user to support the project.
