A New Phase Tracking Loop for Burst Synchronization

A new phase tracking loop based on a tristate phase frequency detector and a digital phase shifter has been proposed. The phase drift of the system during the “OFF” intervals of the input signal is negligible and this makes it useful in synchronizing bursty signals.
