Wireless Structural Monitoring for Spacecraft

A survey of wireless instrumentation systems for space vehicles is presented that includes data acquisition on the Space Shuttle as well as the International Space Station (ISS). Design considerations, benefits, and challenges of wireless instrumentation are discussed within the context of the historical development and evolution of the technologies that comprise these systems.
