Testing is an integral part of software development. The goal of software testing is to find faults from developed software and to make sure they get fixed. It is important to find the faults as early as possible because fixing them is more expensive in the later phases of development. The purpose of testing is also to provide information about the current state of the developed software from the quality perspective.
