Simulation Results of Shannon Entropy based Flexgrid Routing and Spectrum Assignment on a Real Network Topology

We present a novel RSA algorithm that uses a quantitative fragmentation metric using the concept of Shannon entropy in Flexgrid networks. By applying this metric to a representative network, support for almost 10% more demands in a static growth scenario is shown.
