Variants of constructing unit-counting integrating phase-shifting devices (PSDs) with horizontal and vertical principles for digital control systems of valve converters (VCs) are considered. The structures of PSDs with one and two scanning functions and their timing waveforms and basic calculated relations are presented. Comparative analysis of technical possibilities of PSDs is carried out. It is proven that they possess increased noise resistance in varying conditions of commercial operation. The quantization errors of similar devices are considered. It is established that, with an admissible error of asymmetry of control impulses (in the range of two electrical degrees), it is sufficient in power VCs to use an eight-bit countable circuit of a PSD. Operational errors of PSDs are analyzed taking into account the characteristics of transformation of a voltage converter into the pulse frequency.
