The impact of database technology on multidisciplinary design optimization
D. L. Herendeen, Mark Ludwig, JEFFERY SA · 1992
The database management requirements of multidisciplinary design optimization are two orders of magnitude greater than those traditionally required for the much simpler analysis task. This paper looks at these requirements and the manner in which they are being addressed by today's sofhvare systems. It then outlines a new database approach that will address the deficiencies of the current systems while providing an extensible framework for scientific software development in the coming years.
