XVis - A data visualization package using a Motif GUI

FRANK MANSFIELD · 32nd Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit · 1994

XVis is a interactive visualization package which allows for multi-window and profile plot capability for two-dimensional and threedimensional flow fields on structured and unstructured multi-zoned grids. The program has been structured to allow easy visualization of unsteady and steady-state computational fluid dynamics data, but the code has also been used to visualize unsteady computational electromagnetic data. The Graphical User Interface has been implemented with the OSF/ Motif toolkit for portability. The program is available to DoD agencies and their contractors at no cost. This code has the advantage over commercially available software in that modifications can be done inhouse since the source code and documentation is available. The programming languages used are C and Fortran. This paper documents the enhancements added for version 3.4. -
