Improved Quality Reduced Prices on Glyceryl Mono-Stearate

Recent improvements and modifications in manufacturing conditions at the new plant of Glyco Products Co., Inc., at Natrium (near New Martinsville), W. Va., have resulted in lowered costs and higher quality of glyceryl mono-stearate, according to an announcement made this month. Among the improvements responsible for the lower costs and higher quality are the activation of large, new stainless steel and glasslined reactors. In addition, auxiliary equipment now in operation has greatly increased production of glyceryl mono-stearate so that carload shipments now can be made from stock. Two Grades Offered Glyco Products offers glyceryl mono-stearate in two grades, indicated by the trade names Aldo 28 and Aldo 33. The former is a readily water-dispersible grade and the latter a neutral grade. Both grades are white and are supplied in bead form. Specific gravity is 0.97 and melting point 57-61° C.
