The main goal of this paper is to use the Wavelet Transform Modulus Maxima lines (WTMM) technique for land topographical obstacles identification from 3D Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data. Land topographical orientation will help greatly the 3D seismic data preplanning and designing. Firstly the modulus of the 2D continuous wavelet transform is calculated, after that, maxima of this modulus are mapped for each scale. The obtained map for the full range of scales will be an important source of information. Application to a 3D GPR data recorded in Algerian Sahara shows the useful of the proposed method on exploration geophysics.
