QR codes have developed into a mature technology and have been widely applied in recent years to commercial activities and e-commerce. Considering the importance of both quality of medical care and patient safety, we use different application of QR Code in hospital operating room systems by using it in special medical materials implanted in human bodies. By using QR codes, the entire operation can utilize automatic verification to decrease manpower requirements from healthcare professionals and streamline management procedures and comprehensive data records. The management process is simplified and improved. Furthermore, because the FDA or the ECRI Institute disseminates information when defects or design flaws in a medical material can potentially harm patients, the hospital could track the patient’s post-operational condition and take necessary preventative measures to ensure patient safety. In this study, we discussed the risks of using implantable medical materials, and implemented a new operation workflow in an effort to reduce the degree of losses. Regarding the cost of software development, we adopted the cost allocation and cost reduction approaches, and employed the parametric modeling concept to build a mathematical function between the costs and scales of software. The new system that was built for this study was a modern alternative. Its exiting system made it both economical and highly competitive.
