An Analysis of the Use of Technology in Teaching Developmental Mathematics

Many argue the use of computers as tools for students is the most important application of technology in education. However, many important issues must be considered when integrating technology into the classroom setting. This study found the use of calculators or the use of computers in conjunction with traditional teaching methods enhances student learning of Developmental Math. The study also supported the literature that suggests the use of technological tools do not threaten learning basic computation skills.
