EFFICIENT POWER DISTRIBUTION FOR COGNITIVE RADIO USING MARKOV MODEL

M Jasna, Jayasree Tc · 2014

Given the limitations of the natural frequency spectrum, it becomes obvious that the current static frequency allocation schemes cannot accommodate the requirements of an increasing number of higher data rate devices. Cognitive radio arises to be a tempting solution to the spectral congestion problem by introducing opportunistic usage of the frequency bands that are not heavily occupied by licensed users. This paper proposes an efficient and frequent filling method for the detected free bands using Markov model. This method is based on weight matrix and probabilistic model of user arrival and departure. Evaluated the performance of the system with more user arrivals than departure and calculated the total number of rejections. Â
