Automatic correction of document images

The traditional way of transferring printed documents into the computer memory is scanning. A quicker way is to use a digital camera. But in this case the picture geometry may be distorted, and lighting may be uneven. This makes further processing difficult or impossible. The proposed method for automatic correction of geometry and lighting can improve the picture quality.
