Performance Evaluation of AES Symmetric Key Encryption Modes in an Ambient Assisted Living System

This paper presents state of the art review of cryptographic practices as well as a performance evaluation of symmetric key encryption algorithms on an Allwinner A13 based ARM embedded system - part of a fall detection Ambient Assisted Living solution.
