In Chapter 8 , we look at both numerical summaries (what are known as descriptive statistics) and graphical summaries related to exploratory data analysis (EDA). We discuss the topic of graphics more generally in Chapter 9 , and the related topic of data visualization later in our text. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
