Systems Network Architecture

This paper is an overview of Systems Network Architecture as defined by IBM. It is an attempt, perhaps for the first time, to put a total communications systems into a coherent framework. Its development is not something which had an arbitrary origin but has been distilled from detailed studies of the implementation of on-line systems with many of our customers throughout the world.
