This paper is intended as an overview of some current results on the performance analysis of Frequency-Hop Spread-Spectrum Multiple-Access networks(FHSS-MA.) Naturally, the emphasis will be on the results of the author's research in this area. Some of the results presented are pre-viously published results and some are prelimi-nary results currently under investigation. The topics covered in this paper are (i) error perfor-mance analysis of FHSS-MA networks. (ii) opti-mization of the code-rate and the number of frequency hopping slots in FHSS-MA networks and the (iii)optimization of capture probability in Spread-Spectrum (SS) MA networks. For each of the above. possible extentisons and future research topics are suggested.
