Some Thoughts on VLSI Systems Productivity
Neil H. E. Weste · 1989
This paper concentrates on some of the design process means of increasing productivity. These largely parallel the rapid prototyping school of thought in software engineering, although the design methodology checking is more reminiscent of structured programming approaches to software projects. Of course the dominant component in a productivity equation remains the personnel. Well motivated, well trained competent people are highly productive almost irrespective of what hurdles are placed in front of them.
