For many years anthropologists have studied the differences between science and magic through the efforts of Bronislaw Malinowski who observed that primitive tribes practice both.(1) Science is used in those situations where the people have a great deal of knowledge and control, but magical elements enter when there are factors which no amount of manipulation can control.
