Mathematical Notes on Neural Networks

Analog circuits have played a very important role in the development of modern electronic technology. Conventional digital computation methods have run into a serious speed bottleneck due to their serial nature. To overcome this problem, a new computation model, called “neural networks,” has been proposed, which is based on some aspects of neurobiology and adapted to integrated circuits. In the present paper we investigate the properties of a class of artificial neural networks which can be characterized by a large system of ordinary diferential equations.
