Kyunghye Yoon, Assistant Professor in the Master of Library and Information Science program, received a $7,000 Faculty Research & Scholarly Activities Grant to support a study that will identify a semantic core of user meaning in the user description of information content, which helps retrieve information by incorporating the users' own words to the system's content description, such as subject keywords and index terms.
