A fuzzy logic model of digital outdoor PIR detector
Tasho Tashev, George Popov · Annual Conference on Computers · 2011
This work focuses on the problems concerning false alarm factors (disturbances) in modern, microcontroller-based alarm systems and their separate processing. At first, a common approach towards improvement of both detection coefficient (Kd) and False Alarm Ratio (FAR) parameter in such systems is presented. A special case of outdoor PIR detector is under consideration where the false alarm factor variable light is found most important to cause false alarm situation. According to long-term test results for two sets of PIR plus light-sensors, a set of fuzzy-rules is also extracted. A generalized model is proposed applicable for further processing.
