Plenary lecture III: complex adaptive signal processing employing independent and optimal convergence factors with applications in time-varying environments

Wasfy B. Mikhael · 2008

The increased usage of complex signal representations has necessitated the need for improved complex signal processing techniques. Complex adaptive signal processing techniques are presented, which independently adjust the real and imaginary components of the complex quantities, employing optimal convergence factors. Extensive simulations confirm the improved performance of the proposed methods, especially in dynamic scenarios. The effectiveness of these novel techniques will be illustrated in several applications.
