Integrated Target Attribute Identification Using Evidential Networks

To solve the problem of integrated target attribute identification (ITAI) in battlefield situation assessment, a method based on Valuation-based system (VBS) and evidence theory is presented in this paper. First, combination rules for evidences in different frames of discernment are analyzed. Then the VBS evidential network for ITAI problem is constructed and methods of acquiring network parameters are discussed. Finally, the reasoning flow is presented. The simulation results show that the ITAI method based on VBS evidential networks is effective and straightforward.
