SEE-Con: A Visualization System for Electric Energy Consumption with Context of Many Appliances in Office Environments

In recent years, social requirement for reduction of energy consumption is increasing. Visualization of energy consumption is one of the effective methods for reducing energy consumption, and the method spreads. However, it is difficult to judge the electricity usage whether it should be reduced because it is difficult to know the situation like“ the action of the person”,“ the state of the thing”, and“ the environmental state”when the electric appliances are used. Therefore, we propose a system enabling accumulation energy consumption log and context log acquired by using various sensors, and search and visualize electricity usage with context. As a result, we evaluated the effectiveness of the system.
