An Analytical and Computer Aided Approach to Fourier Analysis, Synthesis, and Transform

Analytical and simulation approaches for an introduction of the Fourier series and transform are presented in an integrated approach. A purely analytical approach is presented first for the Fourier series of a function. The Fourier series and transform are applied to a simple RC low pass filter network illustrating the process. A comparison of simulation and analytical results is attempted along with an explanation of discrepancies.
