Cellular Bees Algorithm

In this paper, a new algorithm for numerical optimization, called Cellular Bees Algorithm (CBA), is obtained by combining Bees Algorithm and cellular automata. The cellular automaton divides the population into number of partitions each of which correspond to one cell in cellular automaton. The bees, which are distributed among the cells, by local interaction with the bees in the neighboring cells and using a group of bees that we call sleeped bees, try to find the peaks in the environment. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, the algorithm is coded in MATLAB, and is tested through series of typical optimization problems. The experiment indicates that the proposed algorithm improves the efficiency of searching and veracity of result.
