On the rainfall infiltration through a soil medium: a hyperbolic free boundary problem

In this project, we present an exact analytical treatment to a mathematical free boundary problem describing the vertical infiltration process of a liquid water into soils with a constant diffusivity-water content relationship.The analysis is based on the theory of non-Darcian liquid flow through a soil medium, and the solution is obtained by means of potential theoretic methods.
