Wireless Sensor Networks: Challenging Issues

Over the last decade, Wireless Sensor Networks have become an interesting area of research because of their numerous applications and the possibility of integrating them into more complex network systems. Wireless Sensor Networks have such features that it has emerged as a promising tool for monitoring the physical world with wireless sensor that can sense, process and communicate. This paper provides an overview of Wireless Sensor Networks, its application areas, sensor architecture and the various issues encountered as challenges which need to be considered for research efforts. This paper also presents the possible solutions to the considered issues.
