Architectural Overview of a Sensor Network for Supporting Nursing Activities

We developed a wireless sensor network system for supporting contextawareness of nursing activities in hospitals. Our system is aimed at automated recording of nursing work, visualizing analytical results from nursing histories, and providing context-aware services to nurses during working time. The system construct heterogeneous wireless sensor network utilizing three kinds of wireless networks. We illustrate the components constructing the entire system with its layered structure. We also show practical examples of applications and empirical results evaluating the performance of retrieving detailed nursing contexts. 1. は じ め に
