Collaborative Feedback: Code Peer Review in Higher Education

Peer review is a well known tool to encourage students to engage more deeply with a subject. In the era of “wisdom of the crowds” a collaborative approach to review and improve the deliverables of software development lectures offers a contemporar y supplement to the learning process. This paper reports on the implementation of a peer review tool designed to support students in a basic programming lecture. It covers the integration of tutor and peer feedback and the incorporation of the results into the grading of the students.
