A Boundary Condition and Spectral Problems for the Newton Potential

In this paper we give a boundary condition on the Newton(volume) potential for a bounded domain Ω and find its eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for the 2-disk and the 3-ball. We also extend these results in different direc- tions. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000). 31B20; 35P20.
