Control Applications - the Need for High Level Languages

For low-volume production of microcomputer-based applications, high-level languages should be used to help cut software costs. This paper discusses the selection of suitable high-level languages, with special attention being paid to high-level languages for process control applications. The paper also looks at the penalties of not using high-level languages.
