It's nothing out of the ordinary to hear about community members in distress whose first port of call was to contact the local CPF for help, either using a two-way radio or using the speed-dial set up on their cellphones. The reason is simple: if a community police forum is active, chances are that someone will probably be patrolling the very same neighbourhood in which the incident occurred.
