Multifractal analysis of stress corrosion cracks

The feasibility of characterising the stress corrosion cracks using the concept of multifractals is explored. A modified boxcounting algorithm is used to compute the generalised dimensions. It is seen that the spectrum of the generalised dimensions serves as a good descriptor for such patterns.
