High Capacity e-BAM as an Image Compression Compensator

Traditional image compression methods like Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) or Block Truncation Compression, etc. are, in general, one stage image compression processes. In this paper, we will develop a novel method which combines the traditional image compression methods and the high-capacity exponential Bidirectional Associate Memory (eBAM). The eBAM will be used as a compensator for image recovery. Better images can be recovered by applying the probe images to the eBAM to retrieve the original images. This method can also be expected to provide a higher compression rate than the traditional methods. The use of the high-capacity eBAM will result in a much smaller memory requirement.
