Next generation of directional sound beam with beamsteering to support new interactive digital media application.

The current state-of-the-art directional sound systems are limited to deliver sources that do not have advanced beam control. This research focuses on solving these important problems in order to make the next generation of directional sound system viable to handle the demand of new interactive digital media applications, such as multi-lingual teleconferencing in a conference room, digital signage with zone-based messaging to target message to the right group of passer-by, and interactive digital audio for gaming and entertainment.
