GENERALIZATION OF THE HSS METHOD FOR SYLVESTER MATRIX EQUATIONS
Mohammad Khorsand, Faezeh Toutounian Mashhad · 2011
In this paper, we propose some new algorithms based on Hermitian and skew-Hermitian splitting methods for solving a class of Sylvester equations AX + XB = C, where both coefficient matrices A and B are (nonHermitian) positive semi-definite, and at least one of them is positive definite, and obtain some HSS-like iterations for solving Sylvester equations. Some numerical examples illustrating the effectiveness of these algorithms are presented.
