On the density of a strip cover with identical sectors

We study the problem of constructing a least dense regular cover of a strip with identical sectors which arises in designing wireless sensor networks. Three models are proposed and their comparative analysis is performed which, in particular, allows us to obtain an upper bound for the minimum density of a strip cover with sectors.
