Evolution of computer virus : an exploratory study of trends in virus writing.

This study aims to uncover any significant trends in virus writing in a bid to predict the next big virus so as to adopt pre-emptive measures. Historical data analysis was done on the top ten viruses from 1999 to 2003 and samples were collected from renowned anti-virus software companies like Symantec and McAfee.
