An inexpeinsive public domain microVAX-compatible vector processor optimised for signal processing

BA Coghlan · 1st IASTED International Symposium on Signal Processing and its Applications · 1987

A vector signal processor is described that uses two simple, low-power, parallel processing cells to give a peak throughput of 16.7 MFlops per cell for those algorithms that can be fully vectorised. Each parallel processing cell comprises a Transputer to handle concurrency,, and a floating-point slave processor.
