MOTOR BIKE DETECTION FROM TRAFFIC VIDEO

Traffic problem in big cities such as traffic jam, sometimes happened and caused by motor bike. That’s why need to build a monitoring system with video based using right method or approach, which can detect the motor bike. In this final project, the implementation of motor bike detection method used the MatLab version 7.5 (R2007b) software. The method are segmentation, vehicle tracking, pattern matching and vehicle classification. This method using motor bike template to recognize motor bike in the video using cross-correlation algorithm. The result of the implementation method shows that video contain only motor bike gives the motor bike detected percentage of 100 % and 75 %. Video that contain not only motor bike but also car and truck give the motor bike detected percentage of 66,67 %.
