Two technologies individually and together are trying to solve the problem of providing information to the engineer when he needs it. Computers manipulate data. Microfilm stores information for on-time retrieval. A discussion of microfilm, its use in storage and retrieval systems, and its combining with computers show the applications which can help the engineer do his job.
