Quantitative Evaluation of Dynamic Renal Studies Using Fuzzy Regions of Interest and Functional Factor Images

New algorithms for application of factor analysis in dynamic renal scintigraphy are tested. The results are compared with quantitative diagnostic parameteres obtained by well established clinical routines. Test values of renal transit times correlate well with the reference ones but are significantly longer due to a relatively large extent of factor structures. Test values of relative renal uptake agree well with the reference values.
