A minicomputer was interfaced to a four-circle diffractometer for preferred orientation studies of rolled sheet materials.The system scans a specimen in the reflective mode between alphas of 15 and 90 degrees, drawing its pole figure on an X-Y plotter.Additional software will provide a pole figure between alphas of 0 and 90 degrees.
