For the problem that the existing methods of network attack and defense based on game theory cannot calculate the optimal strategy about multi-vector DDoS attacks, the entropy of network information theory is introduced to the matrix game model. The performance variation is evaluated by using the entropy of network information theory and the profits and losses of both attack and defense sides are measured. A method about the optimal defense policy calculation based on matrix game is proposed at the same time. The optimal defense strategy can be calculated in polynomial time by analyzing the algorithm complexity, so the ability of the network system to deal with the DDoS attacks is improved.
