Performance of TCP over Wireless Networks

This report gives an overview of the problems with the performance of TCP over w ireless links. We also provide a brief overview of the various approaches prese nted in the literature. In this report, we present some results of the performa nce improvements obtained just by varying the maximum segment size (MSS) for a c onnection. We only consider bulk data transfer from a fixed host to the mobile host.
